Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the acceptable and prohibited uses of HostPrimeX hosting services. All customers and users of our services must comply with this policy. Violations may result in service suspension or termination without refund.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not host, store, or distribute the following content on our servers: illegal content of any kind under Indian or international law, child exploitation material, content promoting terrorism or violence, malware, viruses, trojans, or any malicious software, phishing sites or fraudulent content, pirated software, movies, music, or copyrighted material without authorization, content that infringes on intellectual property rights, and pornographic or obscene material that violates Indian law.
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited: sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operating mailing lists without proper consent, cryptocurrency mining or any resource-intensive background processes, running IRC bots, BitTorrent trackers, or proxy/VPN services, port scanning, network probing, or attempting to breach security of any system, DDoS attacks or participation in any form of network abuse, hosting open DNS resolvers, open SMTP relays, or similar services that can be exploited, scraping or crawling other websites in violation of their terms of service, and any activity that degrades server performance for other users.
4. Email Policy
All email sent from our servers must comply with applicable anti-spam laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000. You must have explicit opt-in consent from all email recipients. All marketing emails must include a working unsubscribe mechanism. We enforce a zero-tolerance spam policy — accounts found sending spam will be immediately suspended.
5. Resource Usage
Shared hosting accounts are subject to fair usage policies. You may not use more than 25% of system CPU or memory resources for sustained periods. Background processes, cron jobs, and scripts must not negatively impact other users on the shared server. Accounts consistently exceeding resource limits will be notified and may be required to upgrade to a VPS or dedicated server.
6. Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your hosting account. This includes using strong passwords, keeping all software (CMS, plugins, themes) updated to the latest versions, regularly scanning for malware and vulnerabilities, and not sharing account credentials with unauthorized parties. If your account is compromised and used for malicious purposes, we may suspend the account to protect other users and our infrastructure.
7. Backup Responsibility
While we perform daily automated backups as a courtesy, you are ultimately responsible for maintaining your own backups. We strongly recommend keeping independent copies of all website files, databases, and email data. HostPrimeX is not liable for any data loss.
8. Domain Usage
Domain names registered through HostPrimeX must not infringe on trademarks or intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to suspend domains used for phishing, fraud, or trademark infringement upon receiving valid complaints.
9. Reporting Violations
If you believe a HostPrimeX customer is violating this AUP, please report it to abuse@hostprimex.com with detailed information including URLs, timestamps, and nature of the violation. We investigate all reports promptly.
10. Enforcement
HostPrimeX reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for AUP violations at our sole discretion. First-time minor violations may result in a warning. Repeated or serious violations will result in immediate suspension without prior notice. No refunds are provided for accounts terminated due to AUP violations.
11. Modifications
We may update this AUP from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
